Building Survey

A building survey is a comprehensive examination of a property. It is the most extensive of the residential property surveys available, and it will provide a detailed assessment of a property’s condition.

The Building Survey report will detail the state of each aspect of the house, as well as identify the property’s faults, their apparent source, the urgency of repair, maintenance choices, and possible repair costs.

Our building survey would not normally include a Market Value or Reinstatement figure but these could be included on request.

What Does A Building Survey Include?

Roofs, walls, floors, windows and doors, chimneys, cellars, garages, and outbuildings will all be inspected as well as all visible and accessible sections of a building. Surveyors have a legal obligation to find and report any major problems with a property, therefore they will actively seek for any problems and building defects throughout the building inspection.

This includes checking into cupboards and manholes, as well as a service examination, although it excludes covered or disguised elements of a building, such as sealed roof areas.

You can request that certain areas are included to cover particular concerns that you may have about the property. In contrast to the HomeBuyer Report (Level 2 Survey), there is no specific format for the Building Survey report, so our surveyors are able to modify a Building Survey to your needs.
